Default Winter mods..What are you up to??

Well is boring as hell and freezing cold out, so might as well talk about what the winter mods are, and whats going on with the cars.

My car is currently sleeping in the garage under the covers. But I got a crap load of stuff here or on the way then the work begins.

New rear Race Stars drag rims (that fit stock brakes without gringing them down)
new rear calipers
1" Hotchkis lowering springs for the rear
UMI drag bar
N20 outlet Plate kit, and all the goodies to go with it
Nano system
stand alone fuel system

Im also looking to do a 6point and some weight loss.

What are you all up to????? I know some of you have some killer stuff goin on.

Some sweet chrome valve covers, a can of octane booster, and a new HAI kit from ebay

Seriously though...

No n2o for me, looking to gain a few ponies NA though

Also a little more weight reduction and likely a 6-pt. Gonna try to make my raceweight right on the 3400lb min for the shootout.

Perhaps a new flywheel/clutch too, as I'm still running the factory flywheel and my clutch is several years old now.

what did you buy a miata????

I got a few more ponies NA with my cam swap in Nov, but didnt get any testing in.

I dont think the HAI is legal for the shootout, better check with Kyle and Tony.

That would be a big negative on the miata

I feel your pain, I switched from 17"s to draglites w/bias plys, and added Strange SAs on the front...and then my last trackday got rained out

So I have no idea what the car is capable of right now

Spring can't come quick enough.

Whats winter?? :p

My speed shop currently has my AFRs and are milling and flow benching them, and then I will be sending the flow sheet to Llyod to spec me a nasty HR and his recommendation for springs(probably patriot golds, but we'll see).

I'm doing a before and after flow bench out of curiosity to see how much a mill will affect the flow. Tony Mamo said the loss in flow from a drop of ~5ccs will be outweighed by the gain in compression, but I am just curious . I will be dropping them from 67 to 60-62ccs - I told them 62cc's are my goal but if they look good to go for another 2ccs to just go for it and get them to 60.

From there who knows - I've changed up this build three times and I haven't even taken the original H/C engine out from the car . I was going to reuse stuff from it but I ended up with a whole new engine so I'm probably gonna carb it with a small single plane and throw it in an rx7 or something...was good for mid 11s in my mild z28 so would be fun to see what it'll do in a tin can with a bigger stall and more gear .

got the trans in with the 3500 stall. headers, gears, panhard, springs, are on the way lca's are in, m/t's are in. The nitrous kit is half way done just a few wires and run the feed line and get my switches where i want them. and that should do me till the after taxes come in to start the rear end and 383 build.

Gathering money to get the LT's coated locally, then maybe get a catback to go with it.....oh and get a motor and trans to start working on. Already have one block, but may get rid of it if I get a complete engine......so I may have some parts for sale, but I really wanna build a trans again and see what I can do with it . Then I might even have a 700R4 for ya Mike

Trying to finsh my Tbucket..... Just got gauges to do and finish up on the plumbing of my fuel lines from custom tank. Expecting a bonus soon so I thinking a cc306 cam and spring upgrade will happen if everything goes as planned.

Just got a 93' Formula. Everything is in need of attention. Will try to get in solid running shape before winter is out and spring is in.

69' C10 is about to be primed for the first time since all the body work is now done. Fresh 350 is sitting on the stand waiting to go in as soon as I get her painted....

Too many projects and not enough time. Been working every fuckn weekend this year...

I'm in the exact same boat! I had just got Prostars, 373s, shocks, and raised shift points. Then our last week of the track being open was rained out too.. So now i'm just taking weight out of the car.
