How much will a stock LT1 bottom end handle safely for an extended period of time?

I want to run all of those!!! I want to do the LE2 heads and the 223/230 .565/.565 112LSA cam.(the largest emissions friendly cam). I will have all the supporting mods such as injectors, fuel pump,headers,cai,tune...and I want to run a dry 100 shot with the HSW(Harris Speed Works) kit.

Long time ago i heard someone say they made 43X hp with unported heads, s/c on SBE. I'm not sure if someone has made more, but that's not reliable power im sure. I would guess close to those numbers, right around 400hp.

I made 535rwhp on a 150 shot with my LE2 h/c. I couldn't be happier with the way the car pulls. Nitrous is so damn addicting though.

the longevity of the motor depends greatly on the tune IMO.

RPM is more of a killer than HP. Keep it under 6500 and you shouldn't have a problem. Anything sustained after that and the rod bolts are on borrowed time.

be sure to run good oil and make sure the tune is spot on. it should hold alot of rwhp if u keep it under 6400. mine finaly let go 2 days ago with close to the sam setup as you.i was shifting at 6400 but everythihng was great when i was running 20w-50 amsoil. then i switched to 5w30 castrol and i started seeing metal shavings in the oil and by then it was to late.

It all depends on its condition. You'll see stock short block here with miles up there running with no issues. I've been running a h/c for about 5 years now and recently change over yet to another h/c combo, on the stock block with shift points set at 6800 rpm and top that off with 150 shot. Knock on wood.

What kind of tune do some of you h/c guys have? Dyno tune? a tune such as pcm4less tune? I will hope to have the tune as good as I can. And I believe that my car is in good running order. I am very easy on it and the previous owners also were. I have less than 67k miles so I don't think thats alot for a 95. And by the time I get it done it won't be a dd. Is royal purple a good quality oil?

I don't really want a bigger cam. Although I am not worried about the emissions I could care less if it would pass or not. The state that I live doesn't require emissions testing. THANK GOODNESS! But that cam will give the power that I want N/A. And I won't be as worried about "beating" up my engine as bad.
