Default Quick Performance Ebay 9 inch

Anyone running one of these?

You can get the housing with all brackets and either Moser or their axles for a G.

Not bad considering you could go to the junkyard and find a 3rd member for a couple hundo and there you go.

9inch for under 1500

I would say... if you're spending the money on an aftermarket rear, you're obviously looking for bulletproof strength and peace of mind. Does that involve junkyard third members and crappy axles? No. If I was building a 9" i'd go straight for a detroit locker or spool, 35 spline axles, and a nodular case. Its always cheaper in the long run to build it right the first time around. I'm speaking from experience, because i started out with a stock case 9", truecrap, and 31 spline axles... and here i am another 1500 later with the nodular center, 35 spline axles and a spool that i should have gotten the first time around.

This wins.

You get what you pay for. If your gonna buy a rear save up and buy once.

Since when in the hell are Moser's crappy axles?

And sorry I don't have 3k to drop on a rear.

Guess ill go the original 8.8 afro rigged route I was going to. Will be even cheaper than this eBay / junkyard 9 inch pile I dreamed up.

Carry on

You should look into a Strange S60. They come standard with 35 spline axles, and if you went with a spool, you could pick one up for a little over 2k, brand new. These things have a 9 3/4 ring gear, you won't hurt it. If you want a posi, price goes up to around $2300, but it's still cheaper and stronger than a comparable 9".

I've got one, and I love it.

Yeah the 9" is a good deal but the stock center sections are junk. You have to upgrade that unless youre runinng an auto without a T-brake.

You can get a new 9" housing with your choice of axles and a torque arm bracket from EPP (sponsor) for $1050 shipped.

Better off calling Brydon at QuickTime. I have his cell # if anyone wants it.

I got my setup from him w/ 35 spline Moser axles for less than that and QT has a FAR superior tq arm bracket to anyone else on the market. Not to mention he was easy to get a hold of/talk to/help with questions.

I put together my QT setup with 35 splines and a spool for under $2100...brand new.

Love mine and got it shipped to my door for 2350 with driveshaft. Got one smoking deal on it. And it bolted right in with no modifications. The thing I don't like about 9in rears is that they do not bolt in.

I think you could pick up a used decent full built center section for 500-700.
