i just used my stock rods and crank, just had them shot peened, mangnafluxed and so on. srp forged pistons, my compression ratio is like 11.6:1, and im just using the lt4 hotcam kit. the machine shop i used has a extremely good reputation, and i paid alot to get all the work done, but its worth the cash for the little extra peace of mind.

LOL... That is sooooo cool. How the heck does he fit those 29" slicks on there?! I have 28" Hoosier slicks that *barely* fit sitting still and when I'm at the top end of the quarter mile, they rub! I also have a 355 with a stock crank. You can get a helluva lot of performance out of a 355 without the expense and clearancing required for a 383+ stroker. LT1 Powah!!!

I ran the numbers in my sig with my 355. Stock crank and 2 bolt mains, JE nitrous pistons and eagle 5.7" H-beam rods. Hoping to go deep into the nines with a 300 shot. My car is perfectly streetable if you turn the radio up.

Later

Rods $385, crank machining and chamferring $150, line bore $150, balancing rotating assembly $150, Pistons $650, ARP main bolts $50, decking and boring block $200, cam $350, hydra rev $220, R-lifters $180, assembly $300. So $2785 with shorblock with cam,etc and $2035 assembled without cam stuff/lifters. I wish I would have went with a forged crank and 4 bolt cams now though but my plans for the car changed as I was building it. I'll be doing another 355 with my stock block that should hold up to a bit more horsepower.

i paid like $4400 in labor, haha, and there is way too many secrets and other things to list, plus parts, i think my pistons were like $600, the lt4 hotcam kit was like $440, lt4 timing chain $170, 7 quart milodon oil pan $260, im sure there is more, id have to go through all my receipts, but you could build it for alot less than what i spent on labor.
