It often means that you are burning antifreeze. Is it sweet smelling?

When we have done a few exhaust especially headers there seems to be some dust in them that burns off. Mine and my brothers did it for like 10-20 mins

Unless the car has run for a long time after the install, I would supsect it's just burning residue off the headers & y-pipe. My car smoked for a bit after I installed my headers, and again after installed my catback. After about 10-20 minutes of run time, there was no more smoke.

Hell, smoke was pouring out my engine bay, because we installed some cheap painted pacesetters.

Like others said, probably the paint/oils on the pipes. Could also be just running a bit rich while the computer adjusts for the less restrictive exhaust. Mine ran funny and smoked for the first week after my headers.

New headers are going to smoke a little. After a few heat cycles it will go away.

Thats what I was going to say as well. Mines were still smoking after 2 days. The headers are off the pb blaster, wd-40, and oil. Now there fine. Took it on the freeway for about 5 miles and back and now Im good.

Mine smoked out the tail pipes. It never really smoked in the engine bay.

How much smoke is it? Is it thick, and a lot? If it is, then I would suspect something else. Otherwise, I would say it's normal.

You have no cats now. you are going to get some carbon and water vapor. If the humidity and temp is right it will do it all day. Smell it and see if it is burt oil or water vapor
