Default adapting a 2-piece RMS crank?

looking for information what needs to be done to adapt one to an LT1 block. I've heard its too much hassle, but i would still like to know the dirty details.

-or-

does there exist a 3.25" / 1pc RMS crank that I am overlooking?

Out of curiosity, why? If you want to de-stroke you can always use crank/rods from a L99 and make a 327 w/ a stock bore LT1.

I thought using an L99 crank would make a 302? I have considered that, just not sure i want to go that far with it.

Yeah my bad. I thought the L99 was a 3.25 stroke. Don't listen to me.

Yes it can be done easily, back in the day the Bowtie blocks were setup for 1pc rms but use an adapter that bolts in place of the factory rear seal housing. So you can use any 2pc rms crank in an LT1 block, the problem is going to be finding a flywheel if your car is a m6. I know Centerforce used to make one because I have one, but I believe it's discontinued.

No it won't because you need one with the 2pc crank bolt pattern but the LT1 specific face setup, I beleive the pn was 700100.

According to the notes:
Designed to fit with 6-speed transmission out of a 1993-97 Camaro or Firebird.

I'm running a 2 pc RMS crank in my build. You just need an adapter kit. Fairly common.

I just checked the Centerforce pn on my flywheel and it's 700107 so the one that Summit has is the one you need.
