Default msd digital 6 ignition box

is this a good box to use on an lt1? i need something that will pull a couple degrees of timing out of my tune when i turn the nitrous on. so is this the best option? or what are you guys runniing?

The 6a does not pull timing it's a multiple spark box

the digital 6 will pull timing out with activation of a nitrous solenoid. I have had a couple of freinds use it with good success

I use the digital 6 to pull timing when the nitrous solenoids are active as stated above. Works great. I have mine mounted under the passenger seat.

im glad to hear there is several people using it. how much can u safely spray on a naturaly aspirated tune when this thing is activated? or is there any tips you guys have?

as long as its a wet shot i believe a nitrous tune is basically a N/A tune with some degrees of timing pulled

ya, thats wat i figured. i just didnt know if this would retad the timing enough for a 200 shot or if i needed to take a llittle out on the tune.

to figure out how much timing you need you need to learn how to read your spark plugs to really dialo your set-up in

well i dont have anyway of tuning the engine myself. i have to get a mail order tune everytime i change something. if this will safely retard enough timing for a 200 shot then i will be content

oh ok gotcha. how can i tune the nirtous without tuning software? do i just change the jets or something?

you can play with jet and timing. I have found quite huge gains with very very minor changes. We found 20 rwhp in my buddies car from 1 degree of timing on motor. so a really good tune up is worth alot
