Summer mods? Hey whats up guys? It's snowing so I've been cooped up inside and bored. I'm going to want to do about 2 grand of mods on my lt1 this summer. I want to do the lt4 kit, but that i heard is not worth the money. Hot cams? What are your opinions on that. I'm definately putting on some longtube headers, not going true duals (cops will pull me over constantly), maybe magnaflow cat back, a new MAF, I am looking into a rear mounted turbo. Is that any good? Anyone use one, couldnt find the brand STS through the search function.

this is just my .02 if you wanna go fast for cheap..pull the front and rear pumper take out the supports. get some fats and skinnys with good tires. headers and a good cai a tune deff wont hurt. if you want to build a turbo motor the correct way 2k is gonna get your not very far. crank and pistons maybe 
Just remember to think out your options, pick a specific goal, do tons of research, and pick the right for your goals. Otherwise, you can waste a lot of money and time doing things twice.

The car is a 94 firebird formula, 125k miles, automatic tranny with "Transmission Perform" button (which is rediculously nice).
I have a cold air intake, i don't know the brand it came with the car. As far as stalls go, how hard is it to put one in and what is a good brand? I don't wanna DESTROY fuel economy, but I'm not a tree hugger. I'm only 16 so, gas money is my only money lol. But this summer I'll get to work a lot and I'll have around 3 grand. I don't wanna put a **** load in the car. I was thinking a ram air intake system with a WS6 hood. and anyone know anything about the LT4??? I kinda wanna do that. Or at least what other heads would be able to handle the new mods. Thanks a lot for your input.

be nice to him. LT4 heads cam swap is gonna be more then you wanna do brotha plus its not worth the money. do bolt ons and when your ready for a cam just research doing a cam and the supporting mods. dont even bother LT4

i've had my lt1 for almost 3 weeks, so ya, i am a newb. Sorry. I know there are helpful guys on here. And by full exhaust u mean headers + y-pipe + cat back correct? or do you mean true duals?
The Thunder Racing performance package is a decent deal for $530. CAI, Magnaflow, and airfoil. My brother has that on his 1994 Z28 A4 along with Nittos and a 3.42 rear and went 13.5.
If the OP has the transmission performance button then he has 3.23 gears, so I'd move those farther down the list and get the full exhaust, CAI, stall, and drag radial. Should make for a high 12 second car in decent conditions.

Those are some good parts for the money...but have you checked around for different catback sounds? they all sound very different. What do you want yur car to sound like?
