new motor no start

new motor no start I have spark, fuel, and compression but the starter turns the flywheel for 1/8-1/4 turn without start up. I don't have the headers or intake, would that matter? Any ideas?

i am assuming yo mean no cold air, and do you mean no catback, you are a fool if you try to fire the motor without headers on the motor.
for starters get headers on the motor, if they are, then no worreis on then check the basic stuff. i have seen people who fire their stuff with no exh. manifolds, that is plain stupid! one purpose of the headers is to draw heat away, where does the heat stay with no headers on..... in the head, specifically on the valves.
are wires routed to correct plugs, are all connections made ie, map, tps, iac, iat, opti, etc....
it is probably something simple

I just connected the headers, checked the firing order and spark, there's fuel in the rail, but still no start. I'm going to connect the cold air intake to see if that does it next. How can I check the fuel pressure? I figure even if fuel pressure is low, the engine would still fire. All sensors are connected except the c.a.i.

Opti Harness plugged in?
Timing could be it...
We had a similar issue on my buddies car and come to find out the rotor in the opti had ground against the cap and was sending spark to the wrong cylinders at the wrong time and it would spin over for a second then stop like the battery was weak....
Check all your grounds really good too!
Give us a little more info on what its doing.......

I installed the cold air intake, and checked all grounds. If I hold the key down, it will just keep turning the flywheel. How do I checked the valves or check my timing? The timing chain is brand new, and didn't give me any problems installing the cam. The heads were professionally assembled so I dont believe its the valves. Would hooking up a handheld device help, even without codes? Does anyone know the size of the thread on the fuel rail so I check the pressure? The car is on an incline and sat for almost 2 years but without gas. I added 5 gallons of gas with a 100 octane boost.
