This modification is for flat valve covers so more clearancing will be needed to clear the covers that come to a point at the bolting surface. Also you do not have to have a relocation kit for the alternator if you no longer have a/c. Not sure if you do or not. But if you do not and would like any info on a how to i would be more than will to help you out on how to modify the factory bracket.

Also the bracket made to bolt the upper bolt of the alternator was made from the material cut off the upper section of the bracket.

A little off topic, but I'm just wondering, is it necessary to have a breather on both valve covers? My car came with different valve covers and there is only a breather on the passenger side.

There is a vent in the bottom of the LT1 intake that routs from the lifter valley up though the intake to the PCV port on the driver side. This then gets routed back into the intake through the engine as well as the ones on both of the valve covers. Venting the valve covers well enough will keep that toxic oil mess from going back in to the engine is the best way to keep the intake and runners clean as well as those exhaust recirc gases. You can use 1 on one side or 2 on one side or 2, one on either side as long as you can vent the lifter valley through the head gaskets and oil returns in the head on one side well enough to not build up pressure.

If it is unbafled yes it can, but if you run a baffle or a PCV it wont.

Yeah, my catch can is hooked up in between the hose that comes off the front of the intake and the pcv valve. I just recently took off the "breather" that was on the passenger side and replaced it with a regular breather then capped off the line going into the throttle body. trying to clean up the engine bay.

The dual filters was just a personal preference. Both covers were blank and like stated, I have internal baffles on both of them. I will be welding on AN fittings and running them to a catch can. But all in all was just a personal visual preference.
