Default lt4 roller rockers

My car came with these on it. I am going with a LE cam around 560 lift with the right valve springs. I dont know much about the quality of these so please help me out....should i scrap them and get some new ones?

those rockers are not bad at all for smaller cams, BUT you will want go with a different brand. there not meant for a higher lift cam like that

Actually, the rockers are made by Crane and are identical to Crane Golds (just red in color). I am running the Crane Golds on my 383.

I wouldn't hesitate whatsoever to use them on any HR build.

EDIT: I forgot that the GM versions were self-aligning. Fine for most mild HR builds, but I would step up to a NSA setup.

If you wanna get rid of em just in case I am going to be selling my Crane Gold 1.6 SA RR's in about a week or so. If you want em name a legitimate price and they are yours!

OK then new question...Do i have to go with center bolt valve cover rockers or will any SBC rocker work. can i just clearance the baffles to make the valve cover fit or is there a place to get different valve covers?

you can clerance the baffles to make them work, thats how mine are, but if you get other valve covers you have to make sure they have a notch cut out in the Pass. side or they may not fit properly.

You do not want to use LT4 GMPP rockers with that camshaft. You can use any type of SBC roller rocker and yes you can cut the webbing inside the valve cover to fit them. I run Comp Pro Mags, but any style will work. With a LE camshaft like that it would be a good idea to go with Non-Self Aligning rockers that must be used with guideplates. That will insure stable valvetrain operation. Another thing to consider would be 7/16 rockers and 7/16 studs to replace your stock 3/8 studs. A large diameter stud will flex less and keep things even more stable.

yeah i think thats the route i am taking just had to make sure about valve cover issue. Guess i will start getting rocker arms, guide plates, studs, and pushrods next. Do buying parts ever stop...lol.
