You should be able to make it work with a little tweaking.

You have to cut some of the support out of the the hood.

very glad to see someone duplicating my lid install!

this ram air setup is the project ive been planning for spring break. That looks like it worked out awesome for you and looks easier than i imagined!

which model of Chrs1313's Ram air kits did you use?

As far as the airflow concerns - what many people are forgetting is how much LT1s fluctuate in temperature. LS1s run pretty stable from what i have seen. This is definitely an issue I plan on taking into account with mine.

I'l hafta get 1 of those thinner a/c versions off chris1313 at some point. I'm on the fence about keeping my a/c any ways so if it don't fit a/c

mine is steady as hell, sits at 170 most the time, will rise to 175 on the real hot days.

mine is steady when its moving. but Ive been around a lot of LT1s and ive never seen one that didn't warm up in traffic. Mine always has, regardless of the setup. I thought that was why fan switches were so popular for them.

even idling mine never goes over 175, then again I have a be cool rad but I'm still on the stock pump which doesn't flow as much as an ewp at low rpms.

no worse than the stock 97 SS Ram Air...the filter on my SS gets wet as HELL when it rains, even if I am not driving.

This one at least it only gets wet when you rail a puddle or something, not just driving.

I havent gotten a clean pass with the new setup yet. I have had alot issues getting the car to shift, i'm thinking the stock tranny is about done maybe. But my car would always trap before the lid/ram air setup around 113-113.3. Now its been going 114.2 eating the rev limiter between both shifts. The DA was around the same so it definitally has picked up some. Maybe ill see 115 or so with it shifting like it should....not really sure. I'm also gonna get rid of my bias ply et streets for some et street radials so maybe i can gain a bit with those. I cant get better than a 1.8 60 with these things right now. I will get some good results soon.
