Thumbs up Engine bay rebuild thread..

Well I finally get to start my own build thread. Not exactly how I wanted to start building/rebuilding my car but the time has come. Now it's time to rebuild...

My goals for the build are to get the car looking back to stock, simplify as much as I can, reduce weight, delete a/c, and maayybbeee a cam if the funds allow me.
Here's what I'm working with...

I started basically just ripping out everything I could..
Bumper removed, fender removed, all supports, windsheild washer resevoir, hood latch

horns...

gone.

I managed to salvage the slp intake..

Not too bad of shape.
Next was time to get rid of that pesky ABS unit.

Here's everything removed for the day..

And how she sits as of friday night..

Anyone got any ideas for a custom radiator support???

Update:
Got a little more done today.. Removed passenger fender.. all windshield wiper accessories and cowl.. hood latches..

Parts table is growing

Last post I meant to see if anyone had ideas for a custom core support. Im thinking about cutting out the damaged section and doing like a custom support for the bumper and radiator
Let me know

MTB ... ya I just ordered the parts to fix that corner, plus bumper and fender. Soo as I soon as i get those I'm gunna start getting all that in order.

As far as the other thing goes.. I'll just say his dad is pending charges for assault if that gives you a better idea of how it went down.

If your frame was bent i really hope you pulled it straight again or it's going to be a nightmare to get it straight with that piece gone. When i bought my camaro it had almost the exact damage yours did. I straightened my support as much as i could then welded some new pieces in to make it look better, then through some bondo on there and now you can't even notice it was ever smashed.

Did a little more weight shaving while I'm waiting for parts...

This was hands down the biggest pain in the *** to get all the HVAC stuff out. Awful.

That's it for today.
