I would look at a 6" rod since you want to buy new ones anyway. Compstar(preferred) or Scat capscrew rod with a Mahle flat top piston. Not the cheapest way to go but very good parts for the money.
Injectors 30lbs or bigger should do.
Torque converter I would say talk to Edge, Yank, ATI, or Vigilante, probably looking at 3200+ even if you tell them primarily street with little track time. If you want track performance and still good on the street probably more like 3600. Modern QUALITY stalls drive pretty well.

i have a forged 355 from eagle .eagle forged crank ,forged i beam rods ,mahle flatops with a -4cc , i spool mine up all the time to 7 k ,on top of a 200 shot i pulled the heads and cam to do a swap this winter and they are holdin great .the eagle rods are cheaper than recondition old stockers and they come with a.r.p hardware the mahle pistons were a little expensive but worth it as far as strenght go . for a eagle rotating assembly with a cast crank forged top end its about 1400 bills .forged crank "recomended" was 7oo more all balanced and what not "get it rechecked" .if your gonna go in might as well do it all on one shot and get the best ya can afford

there is a lot more to it than that pal,in all honesy go to a reputable machine shop tell him what ya want ,listen to what he says .without some sreious heads that cam isnt gonna do ya any justice ,on a stock virgin head the biggest id do is a cc503 but talk to the machinist and go from there

ok here are a couple part numbers for you
MAHLE flat top piston for 5.7 rod
sbc550030f05
Mahle flat top piston for 6 rod
sbc250030f05
scat I beam rod part number
5.7 2-icr5700
6.0 2-icr6000
If you want the better 7/16 capscrew add 7/16 after the part number
this is the rod I would recommend
