Hmm maybe I should do that an see how bright they really are, usually when I'm out cruising with my friends I don't blind them they say. I've been adjusting them off and on for about 4 days to get them perfect where I can see a good distances but not blind people.

Has anyone done HIDs for the fogs? And what type of bulbs are used in the fogs, are they same 9006 as the low beams?

I'm thinking of doing my fogs next but maybe using a 25w HID bulb

On the DDM Tuning HID kits did you guys run any relays? Or do you just plug the light connector into the box and run the lights from there?

I got the Speed inc. kit that came with new housings for the bulbs but they did use the HID DDM kit in it. it looks great to me but I do not know what it would look like in stock housings since I never used them when I did my HIDs

they use the 55w digital HID kit from DDM:
http://www.ddmtuning.com/index.php?p...=101&parent=85

and I believe they use this housing:
http://www.carhidkits.com/chevrolet-...ights-274.html

They have it on ltxtech.com as an offer of 189.99 shipped instead of 199.99 shipped.

$30 + shipping. Lifetime warranty. Done. Sheesh. You guys make this a much bigger process than it needs to be.
Those look like the cheap way to go. I may be ordering a set of those soon. In my 95 I just ground down a Sylvania 9005 high beam bulb and stuck it in my low beam side. It has made a massive difference, but I messed it up a little and one of them didn't seal correctly. I need to redo it and my just buy these instead of doing it all over again.

9006s are bright, but they aren't a true HID. You will notice a difference with a true HID setup over a 9005 bulb.

I still don't get how there kit is so much. You can save monye by buying the stuff yourself. Hopefully they aren't ripping anyone off. I don't think they are maybe the Speed Inc kit comes with some extra stuff.

Yea didn't have any sealing problems when I put the silverstars in my stock housings. I just had to give the rtv time to cure before using them. But just changing the bulbs helped alot but I bet put in some of the HID's will do the trick. I am going to order some for the truck when I order these. Wish these lenses didn't cost so dang much. I mean heck you can buy the bulb and headlight housing(stock) in a package for less than $30 for all. Yet the housing for a HID is over $100. Doesn't make any sense to me.

The "hid" housing is just a stock piece with a modified back so that you don't have to glue you bulb in there. It uses a spring clip and an o-ring to hold the bulb in place, essentially making it a seal beam kit.

The housing is the same as from eurolamps.com and it is not designed for use with a HID bulb. In fact it is illegal to put a HID bulb into a halogen housing and it will blind everyone on the road.

I installed my SpeedInc HID kit a couple of days ago and it was plug and play and it's the best lighting I have ever had and I will never go back to Halogen.

Can't believe I just found an HID kit from eurolights for almost 1/3 the price of speed inc kit.
http://www.eurolamps.com/eurolamps/c...headlights.htm

I might just buy another set from them for my high beams since it comes with new housings also.

.:edit:.

There kit is not a true HID kit, they use Xenon-Charged Blue/White bulbs but if there price is that cheap with all that, I'm going to ask how much is it just to order the headlight housings since I should replace my high-beam one for they are very dirty

You mean the ballast? I used some 3M tape and stuck it in below where the High beam housing is. No water seems to get in there and its a pretty out of the way hidden spot for it.

Yea the ballast. I didn't know how thick it was I just ordered the kit and was palnning on what I was going to have to do to get it to work. I got the 8000k 55 watt one. I already have the SilverStars in my stock ones so we will see how much better these are. Also ordering some for the old truck to.
