Exclamation 1.6rr = New Valve Cover???

So I was playing around with my motor this morning while it was on the stand and noticed my stock Valve Covers won't fit on top of the new Comp Cams Roller Rockers!! Is there some kind of kit to raise the valve covers up? if not will these fit my 1.6rr and LT1 Motor? ----> http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/50163...oductId=751360

Trim the supports / baffles in the stock ones and they will fit just fine...

Those wont work unless you relocate the alternator. The pass side has to be notched for the alternator in a 2nd gen application.

many people have been able to dremel out a notch on the alternator itself to make SBC centerbolt valve covers work too...that's another option you might want to research, it definately creates more options too if you decide to go that route...

I did the alternator mod method to fit my centerbolt valve covers. I could never get the stockers to fit with the 1.6 promags with poly locs.

Use standard not tall center bolts and then notch the alt. These are the covers I used sorry don't have a better pic, and the pics of the alt mod and installed

The 1.6's fit under my vc's without poly-locs. once I put the poly-locs on I had to get taller vc's. Could just be the type rockers and poly's I have. Who knows.
