Default Custom Fuel Rail Covers

So after searching and searching to find FRC for an lt1 i decided to make my own. here are a couple pics of them before paint.

im still deciding on how i should paint them. i was figuring on black covers with a red chevy emblem

they are made out of aluminum. as of now i am waiting to see how the first pair come out when they are completely done and then i will decide if i will sell them on ebay or something like that. ill keep everyone posted

Perfect thanks a lot. If you decide to make some more I will deffinitley buy some I've been trying to find a set just like these. I'm assuming the notch at the back half of the pass side cover is for evap solinoid?

the notch for the back pass side is actually for the transmission dip stick and wiring harness, the cover actually goes over the evap

If you were to start making them would you make some with out the cut out for the dipstick.

I was gonna ask the same question once he decided if he was going to. If he did decide to make them I'm sure he would, it would be easier to not notch it for the dipstick.

i could make it without the notch for the dipstick, it would just be a square corner like the front of the driver side

Just wondering one thing though, would the covers be trapping heat from the intake?

i dont really know, i really just did it for looks, if it does trap heat i wouldnt think it would be much

Those do look good, I encourage you to make some sets and sell them, i dont need mine painted I can powder coat them myself.. but they look pretty good bud.. nice work

im not really sure how to ask this but here it goes anyway. PM me what you think these are worth price wise. ive seen them as low as 80 - 90 for corvette covers and as high as 190 for aluminum covers that were discontinued, im just trying to get an idea

Really depends on what you think your time is worth to make them. How long does it take to make a set? If you do decide to make some I'd buy a set unpainted forsure.
