Default Want to remove washer fluid container and wipers

I want to remove my washer fluid container as well as my wipers. Once i remove my wipers, do they make caps I can fit over the nubs at the end. I was looking to do this over spring break. With college and such I have had no time to even look at my car for over 4 months

Thanks,

Devin

I'm willing to bet you can come up with a rubber piece to fit over the end at Lowe's (or anywhere else) for around a buck. Check the hardware section in the odds and ends shelves.

http://www.stockcap.com/styles/caps/index.asp

Why are you removing the wipers/reservoir?

Thanks man, i just haven't taken them off yet. I was going to do it all at once over spring break cause I am doing an oil change. So I was going to knock out three things at once.

My car NEVER sees rain so I removed my wipers....I actually used Vacuum Caps from the local parts store to go over them and they look great and they are cheap....

Use vacuum caps on the wiper drives.

To remove the windshield washer fluid reservoir (intact), you need to remove the front bumper cover.

Remove the nut holding the wipers to the motor shaft and pull up on the wipers. If they've never been off, they will be very difficult to remove. Resist the urge to pry them up with a screw-driver so you don't risk cracking the glass. You might be able to use a small puller, but careful prying straight up with your hands should pop them off.

My reservoir just pulled out. I didn't have to remove a thing. It took less than 2 mins to take out. Its held in by a few of those pop clips.

Thats what I was thinking, but I just looked at under the hood pic's of both a trans am and camaro they look the same. I think I may have dropped it out the bottom... I can't recall though, either way it took no time at all.

+1 for vacuum caps on the wiper arm splines and i dont know how it is on the t/a's but on my camaro when i removed the washer resevoir all i had to do is remove the hood striker bracket and i think it was 4 push clips and disconnect the harness/fluid line from the pump, very easy didnt take more than 10 minutes.

Shouldn't even have to remove the striker bracket.

^^Same with mine, it came right out the bottom.

I think some of them 5/8 Vac. Caps would cover the Wiper Shafts. Like mentioned, be very careful prying them up.

It's been awhile since I took mine out. I took it off when I pulled the front bumper supports...looked like it couldn't come out any other way.

My bad!

So...other than your car not seeing rain...why exactly would someone want to remove their wipers and reservoir?
