Default BBK Under Drive Pulley

I have a brand new BBK under drive pulley sitting in its box in my garage and have finally decided to put it on the car. I was wondering if it is absolutely neccessary to have the alternator pulley as well in order to prevent charging issues? If not than I plan on maybe putting the pulley on this weekend and was hoping someone could help me out with the belt part number that I need to put the pulley on with or without the alternator pulley? Thanks for any help guys!

I run a ud pulley w/o any problems. I however don't have big kick a$$ subs in the back either and run an altornator w/ 150amps.

Do they make over drive pullies for the alternators? Or are you talking about an underdrive pulley for your alternator too?

Well, lemme tell ya this.. I got the ASP under drive and alternator under drive (bad idea) , and at night lights dim like an s.o.b. if im just sitting in traffic.

If you can do it without the alt (underdrive) pulley go for it.. not sure on the belt size you would need though

Since we are on the subject, you need to install your harmonic balancer with the UDP. Correct?

use just the under drive or go buy a TCI ballancer. It has a 10% reduction.

Thanks guys. I also don't have rockin subs like some people which is why I was hoping i'd be ok. As for the alternator, whatever amp the stock one has, is what I am running. And yes, I do know that you need to use the harmonic balancer.
So looks like i'll just try the UD pulley alone without getting an aftermarket alternator pulley first and see how that works out. I just wanted to double check that some of you guys use just the UD pulley cause i've heard some stories about charging issues if the alternator pulley is not used
Also if anyone has a belt part number I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
