i have true duals. f*ck a y-pipe. mine are 1-7/8ths stepped to 2" with i believe a 3-1/2" collecter...when your buying a setup you want to make big power with, you toss out the y-pipe idea as a trade off...unless of course you have to keep it toned down, but then you are defeating the purpose.
also, even at a $420 price difference the pacesetters wont be coated(or would it?) and you'd be spending another $500 on down the road due to rust/etc, whereas all things being equal you wouldnt have to with the stainless kooks. spend a little more to have them coated and that price gap narrows and the quality/performance gap does not grow.
i dont even know if they make close to the same power. i've been off of tech here for a while so i dont spend monies, lol.

Actually I'm assuming he's talking primary size.....unless you have a big cube motor, which most guys here don't have the cubes to worry, you don't need that big of a primary. It's usually reserved for BBC territory, but as of late the LSx crowd has encroached because of it's incredible head flow numbers. "Most" LTx motors won't come anywhere near needing them....

Guys not to start a our product is better then there product pissing match. Here are some differences we are a Header and exhaust manufacture. We produce all of our own product right here in our NC facility with a good old American Labor. If you need to talk to us just call. If there is a problem just call. We use all US sourced product only. As for the collector we use our US patented venturi spike collector on all product we make. I could go on but for what. If anybody has any further question feel free to PM me or call toll free 1866-586-KOOK.

LOL I just saw this on the Kooks web-page:
Because of the 3 1/2" collector, none of Kooks Y-pipes work with this header. This means that you will have to get a custom exhaust fabbed up after the headers.
They charge you $1100 for headers and you can't even bolt on a y-pipe?! ROFL.

if i drop 300 on a set of pacesetters, my goals are definitely not the same as the person spending 1000+ on headers.
i have sold a few sets of kooks, all top quality and great fit! i can't speak for LPP, but pacesetters are an affordable header.
should i have called Lemon's and asked them why the 1200 headers on my motor didn't come with a y pipe ? lol!

I'm starting to like this thread, really.
On the one hand last night a guy said that his emission ports blew off his Pacesetters, on the other hand, a guy today said his ports blew off his KOOKS (In different section of the site). Hmmmmmmm, I guess in my case I won't be ordering LT with emissions to begin with, so problem solved as far as ports being blown off, I was super surprised to hear that ports blew off his Kooks however, kind of a red flag to me considering what they cost.
Looks like no complains about LPPs, it's a real good option to check into and I appreciate your comments guys. Like the one response mentioned here, I do not plan to keep my car forever, Kooks is a $1000 on average WITHOUT their $350 y pipe, it's just a LOT of money to spend over pacesetters and that's why I'm here to ask your opinions.
And to be honest, so far I haven't seen some real convincing facts to why Kooks should be chosen over Pacesetters, with no connection to the price either.
Please keep comments coming guys, I appreciate it.

IMO, I have ALWAYS ran Pacesetter Longtubes... I have never had ANY fitment issues on a single car. I've owned quite a few cars with PS LT's. In fact, I would be going to another set of them for my new setup, But they do not offer the 1 7/8" Primaries to keep up with my 403 LS2 Stroker. Nor would they be sufficient enough when I spray the car or when I sell this engine and go with the 427CID Engine. But for what it's worth, I will not buy any other set of headers for the price difference. IMO if the PS LT's rust out, you can buy another set for the amount you would have spent buying the Kooks and probably still save $. lol
Pacesetters - $400, ORY - $150
Kooks - $1,000 ORY - $350
(So in general, I can buy 3 sets of PS LT's (and with a Y-Pipe too) just in case they rust out as opposed to buying the Kooks 1 time, and then they MAY last forever if they don't Crack or get damaged in any way!)
I know what I'd choose!
Just my .02 though!
*I could use the extra $ for other areas on my car! What about you.

Wow, a lot of Kooks hate in here.
I will just say I bought my Kooks before LPP's were available. I also have emissions fittings on mine, so LPP's are out of the question anyway. The fit and quality is very good, I've loved them since the day I bought them.
And some of you quoting $1000 for Kooks? I bought mine for $850 + y-pipe. That's all, I'm done. I don't want to be a part of this pissing match.

i dont think it means merge
when its squeezed tight and then opened up it increases the speed at which something is sucked or pushed hints why every carb is liked this. and yes i know llps have them too. if it where me i would get llps.
it means more like sqeeze and speed up.
