which rods are better for 355 N/A le2 heads and cam
was wondering what rods are better scat pro comp ibeams #257007 or Eagle sir Esp-5700bblw both are forged rods the scats are rated for a little more horse.
also what would be a good budget piston for the rods. not going to spray nitrous so can i get away with hyperstatic pistons? Im planning on shooting for a reliable
400 RWHP street car any input/ suggestions would be nice

IMO use the stock rods, and .030 over stock replacement pistons. Just one option though. If you're staying NA for sure then you don't have to worry about too much, but an even better option would be going with a 6" rod and some hyperutectic pistons. Definitely stick with an I beam rod as they have a tendency to be a little lighter and that should make it really easy to get it balanced for some decent RPM depending on which cam you choose to go with.

I would get the Scat 6" rods with the 7/16" capscrews and an SRP forged ft piston, the advantage of the 6" rods are the will require a shorter piston which is usually lighter.
