Heck most folks struggle to get a decent result out of a stock shortblock, they spread their checking account thinner yet and they will make more compromises in all the worst areas just to have the bigger engine.

There certainly are individuals who genuinely would buy one, BUT not as many as claimed they would have. That is why the project flopped after they spoke to the dealers, the ones on the front line that see no real market in the LT1, not enough of a market to support this kind of R&D outlay anyhow.

and I'll admit I was another one who said I would buy a dart block one day in the future but didn't claim I would buy it as soon as it was released. owell, it would of been nice for us LTx fans but not so nice for dart, probably would of taken over a decade for them to recoup their expenses and start turning a profit off it.
unless they made it with the ability to accept Gen 1 heads there is no use. There isn't a head on the market that could make use of that size block for the LT1.
