Default Need hep with o2 sensors please help.

I am at my wits end when it comes to my O2 sensors. Here is the problem, my left side o2 sensor is reading .449 (dead) and my right side is reading rich. I have switched the two o2 sensors from left side to right side and the problem seems to follow a bad sensor. So I go down a by a new right side o2 sensor and guess what is still happening, the left side o2 sensor is still reading .449 and my right side still is reading rich. But if I take my right side o2 and put it in the left side o2 bung the problem goes to the right side. Does anybody have any idea as to why this is happening? The car is a 1995 Trans am m6.

The wiring is probably burned through. A couple minutes of searching should reveal the problem.

i guess im not making this clear enough. how could the wiring be burned up if i put the right o2 sensor on the left side and it works. but when i put the left o2 sensor onm the right side it doesnt work. the problem if following the o2 sensor but i have allready bought two brand new o2 sensors.

How are you testing them? What are the conditions around your test? engine running, O2'a are at temp? PCM is in closed loop?
