Default Pacesetter LTs Issues

So i am in the process of putting LT pacesetters and ORY in my 95 Z. So far it has been nothing but problems. the first issue was where the AIR hooks up, it doesnt fit so an adapter need to me welded to fit. So after that issue was resolved, the EGR hook up is and inch too low, and needed to be cut off, welded the hole and then drill another hole and weld it back up.

im just wondering if anyone else has had issues with the emission hook ups??

you sure you had everything put in right? ive done a few sets of pacesetters. and they are a MFer to do the emissions i normally end up talking the people into just deleting it. atleast eh back portion of that.

everything is being put in right, the egr in the regular position on the header is hitting the trans. dip stick and im not getting rid of that dip stick. its already been cut off and welded, tomorrow it should be drilled and welded back up. and hopefully finished. motor is jacked up so the headers go in and out no problem. driver side is in just need to be buttoned up, once the pass side is finished it should go in no problem

to delete it you need to buy egr and air block off plates, but you will throw a code unless you tune it out.

not true. all i did was take the plate. cut the tube off the back and weld it closed. and i never had any problems throwing a code. its really simple.

also did you put in new motor mounts when you did this? if not and you have anymore then 5k miles on the motor mounts now i would highly HIGHLY suggest buyin new ones. i tell everyone that i wont do the swap unless they have brand new mounts.

make your life easier and take out the emissions garbage. you gain more room and you can make the SES light go away through a tune.

i cannot take the emissions out because i need to pass inspection, it needs to go on the sniffer so its not that easy, to just delete the emissions stuff. trust me i would love to delete it all.
new motor mounts are going in as well

i did not cut the dipstick. i cut the egr tube not the dip stick, i did that so i did not have to delete the tranny dipstick

and unless RI is a million times worse then MD. i went through the sniffer with a 383 running rich as hell and no emission and it passed no problem.

I had the same problem with the EGR hookup clearing the trans dipstick, all I did was heat it up with a torch and bend it back towards the firewall and as for the air pump I didn't have any problems with those

Well as for the air pipe connections you must of got the wrong year model headers for your car ive had the same issue with both of my cars. 1993-1995 and 1996-1997 styles male and female. I had to search for countless parts cars to find the right ones tell me about a bitch. As for the issue with the dipstick i moved it back so that its pretty well leaning on the harness up top. It clears just fine and holds the plugs wires towards the engine and simply put some silicone in where it sits in the pan and no issues yet.

This job is a royal PITA do and if you think the drivers side is hard wait till you get to the passenger side its twice as bad. I think jacking up the motor and sliding them in from the top are the easiest way and then everything is bolt up and go.
