Default Lt1 in 98 V6 camaro

Hey I am looking for any and all input, I have already done an Lt into a 3rd gen now im looking to put it in a 98 v6 camaro, i can get the body really cheap and it is in great condition. I am curious if anybody knows about mounting an LT1 in a 98, are there conversion mounts our can I use the lt1 Kmember in the ls car?

I know people have put LS1's into LT1 cars. The easiest way is to swap the k member and everything out.

Going the other way would be similar I would think. You would need to find out if the gauge cluster would work, then you would have to worry about a fuel system, I believe the LS engines operate at a higher PSI.

No matter how you cut it, it's a lot of work.

Honestly for that car it would be simpler to use a LS1.

For the cost of the LT1 & what's needed you can get a 5.3l in there, you would have to get a Trans for either one, aswell as the wiring harness.

Might we well put something good in there..

I think youd be the first to do that though, so I think it would be pretty cool. Definitely original.

It can be done! On www.ltxtech.com there was a guy in florida that did this swap. It went quite easy actually. I say do it! Nothing like wiping those **** eating grins off the faces of those LS1 guys when they get their *** handed to them by an LT1!
