I found someone in town who DOES have a flow bench. He builds sprint cars, but hey, horsepower is horsepower! He's gonna take a look at the heads/intake next month when I've scraped together the money for it. I went out and got a second job on the weekend so I can pay for it! lol

He couldnt give a quote over the phone, he wants to see them first. He said I'll be looking at $700-$1000 all said and done.

Yeah. I use to work for Lordco Auto Parts, and I would deliver parts to his shop a fair bit, so he likes me, and is giving me a decent discount

It may also have something to do with the fact that I said I NEED to beat my boyfriend this year. He's got an import with a huge turbo on it, and I ******* hate that he beat me last year (by .4 of a second). The guy at the machine shop is a huge import hater, so he wants to help out! lol

Forget all these local guys. send them to Lloyd Elliot and get a matching camshaft to go with the heads. Sometimes he has some heads for sale that way you wouldnt have to ship yours to him. He can set you up with a combo far better than a local guy can. It might be a little extra money, but his work hyas been proven to be great over and over again.

Potentially better than a local guy can. I dont disagree Lloyd does magic with heads, but if he doesnt flow every set of heads he does and get person flow numbers on each set, what would be different then taking it to someone local who can do LT1 heads and have them flowed? Id rather have my heads ported and flowed and installed by someone locally, then send them away and have them maybe flowed (does anyone here know for sure?). Im getting a Cam ground to match the heads either way.

his LE1 package is 900, or 1200 with a cam.
LE2 is is 1300 for heads, or 1600 with a cam.
And a core charge.

Yeah, I just googled it and found that. Thanks! Yikes, this keeps getting more and more expensive. My boyfriend is complaining that he's never going to see me anymore, I'm now working three different jobs (one full time and two part time) to pay for my engine build! Haha. Oh well, he's not going to beat me this year
