Default harlan shift light rocks

I just got my harlan shift light, its awsome and matches the pontiac red very close. I looked up a few places and everyone says to go to the coil or the pcm for the tach signal. I couldent believe what i was reading. I thought why not go straight to the tach wire for the stock tach? I did just that and it workes fine

Pic of the tach wire you're referring to?

I had heard the factory tach always reads high. I know there is a 150-300 rpm difference between my factory tach and my autometer. I have the autometer wired into the coil signal. Beats me?

Didn't know Harlan still made them. I think I have version 1.0 and it doesn't work anymore. What's his web site?

I dont have a pic, but when you get the guage cluster out it's the only white wire in the loom, so its very easy.

The factory tach does read about 200 rmp high. My shift light is set at 5500 and the tach says its at 5700. my computer limits at 6000 though, and the tach is right at 6000 when it hits the limiter.
