Default Any advantage using LS1 injectors?

I'm slowly gathering parts for my cam swap on my '96. Will replacing my stock 24# injectors for the 28# Ls1's do me any good? I will get a tune also, but need to know before I go looking around and buy a used set. Can't afford Racetronix right now, but I'm sure those would be the best.

I think that it will be a little bit of an upgrade..as in I think it comes to 26lb/hr when used with a LT1.

What cam will you be running? Chances are the stock injectors will be fine...

actually a bigger injector can hurt you. this is because say your car will be at 300 horse. an 18lb injector max is 300 so it will be using the full injector compacity which will equate to the best spray patern of the injector instead of too big of an injector closed down by the tune. im not sure if those numbers are accurate but you get the point

The cam is a 232 / 244, 590 lift, 110 LSA.

not 100% true. You want the injector to be at a max of 80% duty cycle. If you go above that, they become far less reliable. You do make a good point though.

I replaced my stock 24s with a set of Ls1s for 2 reasons, i figured my Lt1s had alot of AGE on them and i had one fall from my bench and break the inj. plug housing searched for inj. and found Ls1s locally...
Spoke to Ion(madtuner) and he said they will make no difference in the tune and the 28s will be more like 25-26lbs at 45psi.. Now if you are really **** the Ls1 inj. weigh alot less so there would be your only gain.....As far as drawbacks are concerned you HAVE TO BE CAREFULL installing these inj. to the Lt1 fuel rail since they are shorter.... Mine have been performing for just over a year.

You can find calculators online to figure out what the change from 58psi down to 43.5psi does. I believe it actually makes the LS injectors slightly SMALLER than stock LT1 injectors.

I run a set of 28# Bosch III injectors I got from http://www.injectorsplus.com/

It runs a lot better, starts easier, and the duty cycle went from 90 to 65 WOT. A direct fit, no problems.
