last month I sold a LT1 OEM ss hood for $1100 with no airbox so $1200 with a airbox is a pretty good deal and the hood looks like it only needs paint.
Ls1 ss hoods are a dime a dozen....

I just got a real SS but don't have the hood or airbox, so I can see how it would be worth alot to someone like me. Unfortunately because I JUST BOUGHT the car, I don't have an extra $1200 laying around plus what it would cost to ship it to GA. Besides his add on here says he won't ship the hood/airbox.

I wonder what build # his car is. I'm new here, but with all the parted/parting 96/97 SS cars I've seen just in the one week of looking.....I'd guess the Super Sports are going to be SUPER RARE in just a few years. From what I've found, there were only 1930 built to start with that weren't the white/orange 30th anniv cars. Not sure that is right, but it's what I came up with. Also looks like there were only about 170 Sebring Silver M6, T-top models built like mine.
Kinda seems sad to see one parted that isn't totaled out, no matter how rough it is. On the bright side, it's a great opportunity for someone like me who has a real car, but needs the unavailable parts. Well someone like me EXCEPT with money. LOL

Well....I may be a newbie to 4th gens, but I'm not a newbie to collector cars, and I respectfully disagree with you there. It may take a little while for the differences in value to show up, but it will happen I believe.
