Yep. Pretty sure the Comp T/As were available in gray/black and the rarer blue/white. They were a limited production run in 94, IIRC.

I thought 95 was the first year and they were all silver T/A's?

so the WS6 hood came out in 94, not 95? i've got one of the original 25 protoype hoods so i'm curious to see when the hood was actually made.

I seriously doubt it's real as that car could have been painted anything. Also the auction decription is really vauge and that article was in Pontiac High Performance just a couple months ago so I bet he's thinking he got lucky.

Never heard of such a thing besides the silver comp t/a. This is a formula so why would they call it a comp t/a? Could be real but i would look into the badging and documentation of the build from who ever built these cars.

I call BS to my knowledge all Comp T/As were silver, and all were T/As with lt1 ram air hood and highrise spoiler. There may have been a blue prototype, but who knows. That car has zr1 rims, a ugly ls1 ram air style hood, and a T/A rear bumper. That car has been bastardized so even if it was the real thing where are the stock hood, hatch (nobody swaps a highrise for the base one), bumper, and wheels AND it also appears to be a different color than the one in the magazine

" The first Comp T/A pilot car was a blue Formula. I believe that is the car in the back ground of the magazine article and the lower right hand shot. That car was a 1995 body. The owner came to the 2007 Norwalk event and I have some photos of the car. Unfortunately I do not have a record of the VIN handy.

The car in my photos has a WS6 hood, after market wheels, a white centre stripe with red edge, Formula rear bumper cap, Borla pipes and a HARDTOP.

The eBay car is a T-Top. Has a TA rear bumper, wrong stripe and color center panel.

This is poor attempt at a clone." - Maplehawk, firehawk.org

that paint looks terrible. You can see white blotches in the paint on the hood. The stripe isnt even and the paint line sucks. Also on the bottom rear bumper, someone doenst know how to tape very well. Its all un-even where the blue and grey meet.

Looks like someones poor attempt at a clone.

Clone. Wrong hood, wrong rear bumper, and no red pin striping. According to the article on this car the original prototypes are still in possession by the guys originally involved and they've lived pamper lives. That car doesn't look pampered to me.

I saw pictures of the one with OZ wheels years ago, cars been around for ever. All production Comp TAs were 95-97 Models, had Speed Line wheels and Ram air hood, closest thing to a Firehawk TA we had in the LT1 years since all LT1 Hawks were Formula based.

I beleive that the prototype was a blue Formula. All Comp TA's were silver TA's. The hood on the Comp was the same hood as the WS6.

Not entirely true. There were a handful of Pilot Firehawk TA's. I know of a 94 that even came with SLP headers. It was before they came out with Comp TA's.

Because Brian, that is the way to sell your car for the most money

Seriously though, that is the biggest hack/scam of an ebay listing that I've seen in a LOOONNNGG time.
