Mine made 346/347 with full bolt ons, minus ported tb, underdrive pulley, and bigger injectors. My car is still pretty quick, even with the old technology 306. Ive raped a lot of cars I shouldn't have with that cam, its drives pretty good on a mail order, gets over 20 mpg on the highway, and sounds badass while doing it. With 4.10's and the t56 it was a blast, now I am back on stock gears and its not as fun, but it still a lot of fun. Around 3500 rpms its like a rocket goes off though, thats when she really takes off. But if im racing, im not dropping below 4 grand anyway, so it doesn't matter.

Your FQuick says 341rwhp/350rwtq and same 1/4 time.
I'm calling BS on you somewhere, are you running an LT4 cam, or just the RR's and springs?
Or is it a "stock cam" thats been re manufactured or something?
Also, you've got some weight pulled out, he's probably full weight.

I raced a 96 LT1 with a cc306 cam...I am running a considerably smaller cam than that. We have similar mods (Ported Heads, 1,6RRs, LT Headers, 355's, etc) on our cars so by all rights if you go by "dyno numbers" he should have beat me. He will put more down on a dyno than me most likely...HOWEVER...from a dig on street tires I put a length and a half on him. Not saying he is slow or anything, but my cam uses my DCR differently. I dont bleed compression and I have ALOT of accelleration from top to bottom. I shift at 6400.

I dont have numbers on my setup yet cause every time I get ready to go dynotune it something happens. I was supposed to get it dynotuned last thursday but my tranny went out on me so it is in the middle of a Tick stage 2 upgrade right now. I get it back on Thursday and I will be getting it into the dyno to get tuned on Wed of next week.
I ran that 96 with the cc306 without a current tune. I can still gain 20-60rwhp depending on how far off my tune is...

As do I. The first time I raced that 96 with the cc306 from a dig he KILLED me cause I didnt know how to launch. We raced from a 40mph roll right after that and I put almost 2 lengths on him.
That night I beat him was the 2nd time we raced from a dig and I had learned how to launch right so I beat him the entire way down the strip.

Or maybe the 306 is outdated haha.

good thread! I'd also like to see a stock headed cc503 dyno, I'm considering that cam and do mostly street driving, but that doesn't mean I don't want to race from time to time! (on the dragstrip of course)

The funny thing, many of you will consider his cam small. So much for the built 355 BS....
