my 273rwhp bolt on only car runs 12.4's you do the math.

Cryoing though making things harder does take away alot of the BENDING properties of a metal. Some parts are preferrable to bend instead of break.

But the process on other parts is awesome.

Agreed. Not necessarily bending only but expansion / contraction as well.

Cryo in the right application is great though. As is shot peening.

ahh ok. i really am not very familar with the cryoing process yet, all the parts i did i was told i should do by my boss. only thought it might be a good idea on the pistons but understand what you are saying though. dang, im gonna keep my mouth shut about where i work unless im 100% sure what im talking about, dont wanna put bad name on us, i only balance rotating assemblies for now lol

and camaroracing12 there is no way you are running 12.4s on 273 rwhp bolton lt1's arent that fast.....

Well so much for anymore useful info to the thread starter since


I don't think he cares about how much power it takes to run an et he just wants to know what he needs to do to make his motor live...


I think balancing and new rod bolts and a good tune with the auto and you will be fine like we talked about......

I doubt you have to worry about the mains much since mine made 559 on nitrous and the mains held up fine....

Clevite P series and Hellfire nitrous rings.....Call it a day...
