Ok, that makes sense. So you've confirmed the fuel pressure does drop when you go to WOT. Thats definitely a problem, start with the easy stuff, like the filter, regulator, then the pump.

it was a mad z28 tune, ion told me that its very doubtfull the tune could be that far off. but im hoping that it will be good with this new pump and a new filter. i found a wideband sensor and guage for 180 dollars on ebay so im probly goin to invest in that lol

ok i changed the pump and at idle i think its around 40 to 41 psi, then if i goose it any it jumps up to 44 or 45 i think. kinda hard to tell, and i dont know how acurate my mounted guage is. if this isnt right should i change the regulator next? i have a used one here i could try if needed

Car should scream on the spray. Ask me how I know
This is a good thread for me also. I had a problem at my dyno and I am wondering also if the fuel pump was bad would it just be bad all the time? Or intermentently? Your Lobe separation for your cam is more spec'd for N/A in my opinion but nitrous loves duration and you got more compression than I do.

im hoping it likes the spray, but do u mindd if i ask what lobe seperation u would have went with? i had a 110 lsa cam but i added some duration and 2 degrees to the lsa. i was affraid to go much more and lose all my midrange naturaly aspirated. but even with the 112 there is still tons of torque in this thing.

ok so i took the car for a test drive and got on it and the fuel pressure jumped to like 60 for a second, is this just my cheap guage or is it the regulator?

yea it just kind of spiked on the punch, but i think its a glow shift tinted guage. it was in the car wen i got it, but it seems pretty cheap

I would put a real fuel pressure gauge on the fuel service port on the back of the intake/fuel line. Then drive your car and check psi at WOT and just cruising around. But also stay in it for a bit at WOT and see what its at!

i had an extra fuel pressure regulator layin around and decided to change it out and it fixed it, not pressure spike or drop wat so ever. but im glad i went ahead and did the racetronix kit for peace of mind.

Glad that worked out. Now, get on a wideband to ensure your tunes on the money, and then back to the dyno to make some power.

thanks man, i ordered a wideband and it should be here wednesday or thursday. i should be looking for 12.8 at wot right? could that really cause the car to be so low on power? cause at the dyno i said i was shooting for atleast 400rwhp and they said that would be enough power to run low 10s hight nines on there dyno. is there anyway that thing is just rediculously stingy? it looked like a pretty cheap setup to me.

400rwhp is quite a ways off from low 10s/high 9s.

thats what i couldnt figure out is how they thought that lol unless the dyno was just so out of calibration. but they have a car that runs 8.80s at our local dragstrip and a truck taht runs low 10s. but i was just about pissed wen i saw the numbers on the screen lol. i know this thing is putting down more than 310 by the way it runs, but i need to try it on another dyno if i can find one around here

If they have a high 8 second and low 10 second cars they should have a clue. I would like to see what either of their cars would put down on their dyno??

If there is any other place in the area go there instead. If not, welll goodluck sir.

Look Kalebm I am gonna throw the best piece of advice out there for you.
With just 1 name

MOE BAILEY. He is the best LT1 tuner period.
I would pay the guys plane ticket out there and pay him to tune the car. There is a reason he travels the US to tune cars. He picked up 70rwhp on a base tune on my car. I do not know if he would travel to Missourri but you could ask him. It sounds to me like the guys helping you do not know much about your car.
