I need gears!
I have 3.23's in my 1993 TA m6 trans am with almost full bolt ons. I just got next to a 2009 srt8 charger and he beat me three times in a row by maby a door. Soooo damn close! We went from a dig twice and from a roll once. we stopped and talked and he was really impressed with what i told him was done. His was bone stock and under warranty, but it had the 6.1 425hp hemi. I was bummed so i came home a did some research, turns out they do 0-60 in 4.9 and 1/4 in 13 flat. I'm not so disappointed now lol. I think i'm just gunna do 3.73's and a cc306 this summer, then i should whoop his *** lol. the damn guy lives right by me!

you don't want 4.10 with a 93 M6, not only for the fact that the 93 M6 has different gearing for 1st and 3rd but couple that with the fact that a 4.10 is more likely to break and you got your answer.
I run a 3.89 with a 93 M6 and love it.

Didn't say they "would" break, but I would say that 4.10s will break before 3.73s given the same brand and series of gear. Put a 4.10 next to a 3.73 and you'll see why. There is a big difference. I'll see if I can find the pic that was recently posted.

Ok, everybody just settle down lol. I'm doing 3.73's because it is an m29 t56 and the gearing is more aggressive as mentioned earlier. I actually live about 15 miles east of colorado springs, so a little highway is seen and I would just feel better with 2500rpm or so at 70mph. As for the mention of wanting to do a cc306, I'm not positive this is what I'm going to do, if its a bad idea Let me know why. I don't know everything and I like the advise.
That said, is the cc306 a bad cam choice? I'v heard good things about them on a stock headed car. I'v looked around and seen claims of 345-360 with full bolt on cars. I know I'm way up in CO and wont make that much, but i would like to get close. I also love the sound of high shifts and heavy lope and if i do choose a cc306 I'll get some arp rod bolts for the abuse. I'll also get a good dyno tune from an awesome local shop called RMCR, the guy who will do the tune actually has a sick 800rwhp lt1 trans am and is here on ls1tech.
