Default How do I correct my speedometer after 3.73s?

I have a stock 93 formula with a t56 (with the one year only gear ratios) and im changing my 3.23s to 3.73s and I want to know how you correct the speedometer after they're installed.

Thanks!

You cannot tune the speedo through the pcm for 93's. The only product I know of is this... http://www.summitracing.com/parts/DAK-SGI-5/

SLP used to have a similar item but they stopped making it and I cannot find any more info on it.

Or you can do a google search and find out what drive and driven gears to put on the trannies tailshaft and the speed pick-up to correct it.
I had a 93 for years , I would direct you to a place that has the proper part numbers, but i lost my link.

The Speedo scaler is not in the chip on the 93 F-bodies.

I use the SLP box, but there are other similar units. I too went from 3.23 to 3.73, great gear for the M29. It's similar (actually a little steeper) in overall ratio as the MM6 with a 4.10, except for 4th at 1:1. If you use one, you will want to find the speed signal circuit to the cluster only. It splits off behind the dash, one to the cluster and one to the cruise control module. If you tap into the signal wire before the splice, your cruise control won't work. The cruise needs to see an unaltered signal, I believe it needs to match the vss signal to the pcm to work correctly.

I don't think SLP makes them anymore. I got mine ten years ago, but I think Dakota Digital makes one. Not 100% sure that is the name. Here it is. http://www.nookandtranny.com/mm5/mer...ry_Code=GAUGES
