Default guideplates
i got a free set of new comp guideplates #4808-8 anyone run them and are there isues and if so what and what are the fixes short of buying new ones

do you need them, are you switching to a non self aligning set up?

to answer your question they will work, with a 5/16 pushrod

You only run guideplates on NSA rockers.

If you run them with out NSA rockers youll get metal shaving all over.

Are you gonna run harden, chromemoly pushrod?

This is the guideplates i used.

you have to run hardened guideplates and chromolly pushrods

and that is the part number for trick flow guideplates

the number he has is for comp, and they will work fine

along with all the other viable options like gmpp, isky, ect.

Yup, theres many other guideplates that work too.

Just asking to make sure he is using correct pushrod

You need hardened pushrods to run NSA. They don't need to be chromoly.

true, but with the cost of a nice set of trick flow chromolly pushrods i would not risk it

but you are absolutely right and i should have been more careful with my wording

true and thats what i am going to run for pushrods anyone used these that can give me some insight on the fitment of these comp guideplates

After 5 whole minutes of searching, they aren't hardened and don't align the pushrods properly. For $18, you don't get much. I would get the right pushrod guideplates, such as the Trick Flow 30400623-8. The reason you aren't getting much in terms of responses is because no one uses them (because they know how to do a search).

Just trying to help there, chief.
