Default How's your LT1 run when its humid?

Took the car out last weekend in slightly humid weather, it wasn't hot though...was around 20°c. It felt like the car lost a bunch of power. How do your LT1's run when its slightly humid outside?

Any car will run underpowered in humid air. There is more water in the air and less oxygen. You can slightly lean the car out to help with that. You need less fuel to burn in a humid environment.

my car never really feels different, other than when it's really cold, and even then, it's not by much.

Ya both you guys live down south. Its probably fairly dry in Florida. I just got the car 2 weeks ago. The night I took it home and drove it hard it was just an animal...it was 14°c that night and humidity was low. The car has a built 385 in it with a mild cam.

Regardless it didn't run as hard last weekend. Fuel pressure is ok, oil pressure is ok, etc. I don't know if its the Opti acting up or if Shell messed up their gas.

However, thats with the AC blarring too..otherwise i wouldnt make it during the day..even with the windows down..lol..jut too hot!

Never been to FL, I take it. You need scuba gear to go to the grocery store in the summer.

I think you guys in the humid southern areas don't see as big a difference in temps and humidity as we do in the NE states. My car feels like a pig in the July/Aug hot/humid days, feels like it's off 25 hp some days. It runs like a raped ape in nice cool low humidity fall days. I ran the #'s below on a very low humidity 45 deg day up here. I wouldn't have come close to that in the middle of summer.
