Default Ebay speeddaddy headers, got a problem

i bought these headers and ory for 320 shipped from ebay, they looked great, i started the install yesterday and almost finished today, was to the point of putting the drivers side header on and then the steering knuckle wouldnt go on because the #1 primary is like half an inch too far out, anyone got any advice?

Does the steering column go through the 1st header tube?

just helped a kid put some of these one and no they dont go through the first primary and we tried denting the tube but had to dent it so much you might as well have pinched it off. what he had to do was take it to a good exhaust guy here and have him cut the 1st primary and suck it in and run it a little higher costed him another 150 bucks.
save yourself the time guys and buy some pacesetters if you want cheaper headers. mine fit flawlessly and had zero trouble.

i have the same headers you do, you didnt replace the motor mounts did you? after i replaced the motor mounts with a new poly kit i heated up my #1 primary with a torch where the top of the steering shaft yolk touches it and dented it,then with a bench top grinder i smoothed the yolks sharp edges round and it does not rub @ all.

then the longtubes are on, there is about a quarter inch of clearance of the steering shaft, but the knuckle wont fit back on it, it needs maybe another inch of clearance to fit on and spin freely

thats the same problem this kid i helped out was having he needed an extra inch of clearance and we tried denting and or bending it it didnt work out to well cause we needed so much. he actually ended up putting a small hole in the header
