Default Questions about modding a 94 Z28

Hey guys, I have a few questions for you. First of all, I'm planning on getting some headers and a cat-back exhaust after I see how much $$$ I have after I pay some stuff off. After that, well, that's where I'm stuck. Let me be clear, I don't want to make this into a dedicated race car. It's, for now anyways, my dailer driver. So I have a K&N cai, will eventually get headers and a cat back, so what would you recommend next?

I was actually thinking about (and don't laugh at me, I'm a beginner) getting a turbo or supercharger. Most people I ask recommend a supercharger for my car over a turbo. What do you guys think about that? And what might be a ballpark estimate for the price of a turbo/supercharger?

Lastly, what other mods would you recommend? Replacing stock gears? (It's an auto) Getting a "chip?" Enlighten me. I'm all ears, and very thankful for any advice or ideas.

I don't think you want to go with any FI as a noob. Do easier mods first and learn more before going that route would be my recommendation.

After intake/exhaust, look into gears, torque converter, a tune (not a chip), rockers, maybe a cam.

If you do decide to go FI, supercharger is rather easier to do than turbo.

Sounds like me atm, take it piece by piece this is my order so far CAI(done) Headers(IP), Catback exhaust(IP), Gears(ip), then a cam(ip). Pretty usual set-up for us lt1 guys imo.

I'm not sure GM has a 3.83 gear for the rear. I've heard of 3.42, 3.73, 3.90, 4.10's and up.

I second 3.42 for an auto if you do a lot of highway driving. That's what I have and the rpms are already high enough.

I'll side with the majority. I drove around with 3.73s for years as a DD and loved it.

Go with 3.73's. Why do it twice?

Ok thanks everybody, I'm sure I'll ask again before I actually go to get new gears, just getting some background info right now. Also, if I haven't already mentioned, I have an automatic if that makes much of a difference.
