Default Would you 175 it on pump gas

I can only usually get 91 octane out here. Keep in mind the elevation is ~6,000ft.

However, I've been running 150 for a while, on the stock pump even. I have a Walbro ready to go in.

When I get a solid clutch in it I'm thinking about upping it 175 since the fuel jet is the same and my kit is way fat right now.

I figure I'll throw it on the dyno and up it to 175 to lean it out a little, and if it's still too fat then I'll start working the fuel jet down.

Who has ran 175 on pump gas? Dont want to be stuck mixing race gas or anything.

Currently pulling 6 degrees for the 150 but figured I would up that to 9 as I started leaning out the jetting a little and start watching the plugs.

Thoughts?

There have been a few to have good luck with a 175 shot but with a 255lph or walbro340....i would mod the fuel rail w/ AN fittings etc. to get a more equal fuel distribution at the rails.
Personally, i would not go more than 150 unless it was a N2O outlet plate kit

It is a nitro daves plate...

I might have to do the fuel rails though.

Also the pump is a 340

If its a wet kit why would you need to modify the fuel rails? fuel and nitrous is delivered through the plate.

Good question. Maybe a bigger shot starves the rails?

I think with a Walbro GSS340, you're still fine to run a 175 shot. *EDIT* and a good tune of course.

distrubution, thats why a vast percentage of people improve this part of the fuel system as well as the pump. it would not be an issue if it was a direct-port.... Been done many times.
Pay close attention to cyl #6 and#8 read the plugs
