misfire

Default misfire

ok so i am getting a misfire and my ses light is on. p300 random misfire detected.
i put a fuel gauge on and at idle im at about 30psi and at wot im at 37psi it that a problem ? where should i start ?

Spark Plug wires...

Mine was the last one passenger side.

can you hear a tick???

checked all the wires and they were replaced last month

just because new parts were installed means that "they" are not culprit. I highly doubt fuel pressure or fuel flow is the problem, fuel pressure will vary depending on vacuum if the line is installed. check simple, most likely things first, and of course more info on the conditions that are needed to reproduce the miss will help us

possible spark plugs arcing, have you checked those?

ill check the car at night to see if i see any arcing. as for the misfire is happens all the time really bad at idle tho

check the plugs, and if you've ever had your opti-spark off theres two bolts in there that if you dont locktite them they will back out and cause a miss.

Take the vacuum off the fuel pressure regulator and test pressure again. It should be between 43 and 45psi. I believe GM states 43.5psi.
