HOw do I make a solid lifter?

Hopefully you're doing this only to mock up proper pushrod length...
Remove the snap-ring and pull out the plunger. Replace the plunger with a piece of all-thread, bar stock, etc. (or similar). You will need to cut the piece to length until you can just barely get the snap ring back installed.
Essentially, you're replacing the mechanical hydraulic portion of the lifter with an immovable object.

Can I just put a bolt in there or something else, I dont have that where im at.
