Hey:

AS&M, RK Sport, and Macs all tested pretty close, back when LT1 was the current deal.

I say whichever you can find the best deal in stainless on would be how I would go. If no stainless available go with best price.

AS&M is the obvious choice here, with Hooker being a close second, and Edelbrock third in terms of quality & value. The BBK are junk, and I'd stay away at all costs.

it seems like as&m is the most recommened header for someone who cant run longtubes who sells them other then going directly threw them 787 is what they want thats kind of steep for steel mids

I had a 95 dual cat bird, I chose hooker shorties w/y-pipe which converted it to a single cat setup. I also have a custom mandrel bend cat back. And I have been very pleased with the hooker setup for years now. the install was easy and the reason i chose shorties is because i live in socal the emissions **** state.
