Ok, I understand where you're coming from. However, at that price, would I be correct in assuming that his units are "rebuilds"?
I had to replace my OE unit last year, at 65,000 miles, not because it wasn't functioning, but because the bushing had gone bad, allowing the rotor to "wobble". (I didn't find this out, until I had invested in a new cap and rotor....damn!)

No, not a rebuild. It's a new Chinese unit. It's pretty well built though.

my old 6 speed car, i put a brand new MSD on it the week they came available. they sent it with out a rotor. lmao it wasnt funny then bc it took me a lil while to figure out why i had no spark. they did send me a rotor but still.lol actually two rotors arrived.
if i was paying to have it put in i would have been pissed. but it didnt cost me anything but time. dynaspark seems to be the best out there right now.

looks like gm has a new source for its opties. the new opti is a much better quality, well it looks like it is ...here is a comparison pic of my new and old GM opti(new one installed). this might explain the recent increase in price !

I think the one on the left is a delphi, which replaced the one on left (gm performance or ac delco). I don't think they make the one on the right anymore, only delphi. Well I think. Just got one on ebay for 260 shipped to my door. For a guy who's been dancing around with cheap optis for years It feels good, to finally have a oem.
260 for a delphi Is a great deal to me shipped fast, no complaints.

I'm pretty sure Delphi has always made the GM optisparks, or they acquired Delco electronics, who made the optisparks, at some point during their affiliation with GM.
