Default Update

Got the tips cut off so I could sell them and replace them. The pipes are ridiculously uneven. Could that possibly have been a factory defect at SLP?

how long has that shop been in business?

a little heat and a little bending is all it takes.

IMO any reputable shop should be able to make it work EVEN IF the system is a little off. . . . .

Exactly. All it is is piping and a muffler. There is no reason why any competent shop shouldn't be able to make that work. Some of the ship thats being talked about in this thread is like if you got your car repaired at a body shop, got it back with a fender missing and they were like "oh ya see there's a bracket here that got tweaked so we couldn't put the fender on."

I told him that I'd like him to fix it when I bring it in to get the tips put on. He said he would. Hopefully this is resolved soon. I am either going to get turndowns and have them hidden a bit or get it dumped. Just how loud is a dumped loudmouth 2? Has anyone ever done that here?

My SLP system was way off as well. I had to bend and mod the brakets to get it to even out and then I still had to cut the pipes back a ways to get the tips on so they didn't stick out 12 inches behind the bumper. SLP is cheap crap thats all. I have maybe 4 hours in just trying to get the slp system to look right and I need to spend a bit more. I actually ran the car without tips and got the pipes good and hot and then took an 8 foot long bar and stuck it up the pipe and bent the pipes to where I needed them to sit under the car.
