It's possible that there was mine-shaft air that day, and the stars were aligned just right though.

Irregardless though, take your car to the track on a test and tune day, place a big bag of ice on the intake and let it sit for a while to cool. Run it later in the night when the sun goes down and get the cooler air in it. Maybe you could shift the car yourself to hold it in gear a little longer. THIS IS NOT ALWAYS A GOOD THING TO DO TO 4L60's though. User discresion is advised, lol.
Irregardless is not a word

I'm assuming he doesn't have traction problems, it's a mostly stock auto LT1 without a cam or any power adders, on street tires he should have traction at the track if he doesn't burn the tires too much. That comes from personal experience, his may be different though.

It's a double negative. Regardless is the proper word to use. Irregardless is gaining acceptance like "ain't" and starting a sentence with and.

But I digress

what rpm were u launching at and for that matter just curious, did u rev upon launching after the second set of mods? There r plenty of things that can have an affect on ur times. I know that my first time out at an 1/8 mile my first run was 9 somethin and I thought that was slow as *****. But my very next run was 7 somethin and I didnt d o anything different to the set up. I would say send ur PCM out to get tuned. PCMFORLESS always did mine for my 95LT1 and it was amazing and I run 4.10s on a moser 12 bolt with 33 spline limited slip. Give them a call and ask them about a tune
