Angry what did i do wrong?

ok this is the deal. i have a 1993 Z28 an i love the car. last season i took her down the track many times. the best pass i got out of her was a 13.1 at 104mph. the mod list then was cai, shorty headders, an of course a cut out.

This season the list is cai, shorty headders, cut out, beefed up 10 bolt with 4.10, a spul an axles,{ that was the big one} an a set of draglites 3.5/15 front an 11/15 in the back with MT 275/50/15.

The first pass this season was a 13.5 at 107mph and the second pass was a 13.4 at 106mph.

what is wrong do i need a tune i cant figure this one out. help plz

What were your 60's between the two runs?

What were the weather conditions like?

I think you answered your own question...humidity. My 385 runs like **** when its humid, feels like its lost a lot of power. Were you getting any knock?

You will be in the mid to low 12s. You need to get your launch down with that stall and those gears

if you did not already tune it after the gear swap then yes, you need a tune to correct the shift points

This, you cannot tune a 93' trans electronically (ask me how I know)

Wow, your running 4.10s with an auto? What RPMs are you hitting as you cross the end of the track?

You weren't lying about your spelling, lol. I find it hard to believe that a stock '93 Z28 with shorties a CAI kit and a cutout can rip a 13.1. That would be an incredible pass. That's about 1 full second faster than a bone stock car,and you picked up MAYBE 25-30hp with those mods. It's possible that there was mine-shaft air that day, and the stars were aligned just right though.

Irregardless though, take your car to the track on a test and tune day, place a big bag of ice on the intake and let it sit for a while to cool. Run it later in the night when the sun goes down and get the cooler air in it. Maybe you could shift the car yourself to hold it in gear a little longer. THIS IS NOT ALWAYS A GOOD THING TO DO TO 4L60's though. User discresion is advised, lol.

Actually, the fastest bone stock LT1 I ever saw run was a 93 Pace Car. It went 13.4 back in 94. So with those mods, its possible.

My WS6 ran 13.5 when bone stock. Changed to 4.10 gears, K&N, 160 t-stat, and HPP+ for the speedo and it ran a 13.18. If the conditions are right, then anything is possible.

Slicks are pretty pointless with a stock auto, you've already got traction as it is, and with no stall you're just adding weight. That's weird though that you gained mph and lost et like that, seems like it should be opposite of that with gears that big.

i dont it. how does he have traction? bc he pulled a 1.8 sixty? doesnt mean he isnt spinning a lil. usually when you gain mph and loose et, its bc a lack of traction. did the car spin at all?
