Default window motor how well does this work

http://shbox.com/page/windowmotor.html

How can I tell where to drill holes in my door and properly reach the rivets on the window motor?

Also what holds the regulator from going crazy after the motor is out?
isnt it spring loaded, so when I take out the motor what will happen?

Is there anything else to beware of or to make things easier.

List of things needed?

thanks guys

X2. I followed those instructions to the letter when I did mine and had no problems. And no, nothing is spring loaded in there. Just read through that page completely a couple more times and it will become more clear when you tear into it.

I used a 1/2" hole saw. Made getting the nuts threaded far easier.

In my recent RH motor replacement, I used a conical grinding bit in the Dremel. Other than the dust, it worked well. Nice, smooth hole.
