Default Plastic thingamagig behind washer fluid container

Thing the that runs all the way up. Not the black cover that is on the condenser.

Is that part of the air dam system? Doing LS1 lid swap and need to remove it for the time being to get a something else I am doing in between lid and wondering if it aides in any type of air flow to rad or lid. Looks to me like it could give some direction...if not I dont wanna waste time or money putting it back in.

I removed that piece when I deleted my A/C. No change in anything. Might be for directing airflow I didn't really look at it too much just tossed it.

It's nice that airfix knows what you're talking about, but I don't. The only thing behind behind my washer fluid reservoir is the black cover you speak of.

Yup part of flowing air into condenser and radiator. I have not put mine back in yet since I put in my 383 and I live here in west central FLorida. My cooling system is new so I have no problems with the car getting hot even in rush hour trafic but I also run a 160* thermo and have the fans set to come on at low temps. It will really help in traffic because you wont get any hot air back down into the radiator from the engine bay. I do notice a couple of degree change at spot lights but nothing major for me
