Ugh busy week and too much rain! Heres what I have gotten in the past ten days:

Busted out the dremel and modified my fuel rail covers to fit. Not sure its right, but some random internet guide said these were the spots to grind. I am not completely convinced I am even going to keep them on, but we will see what it looks like down the road.

Repainted the motor mounts and put them back together with the new hardware installed:

All the goodies I got in the mail alongside of the broken pieces they will be replacing. A little anti-seize for install. I am a bit concerned about my steam pipe seal, I think I need more than just the one they sent me. Anyone know if the old pieces can be re-used? Interestingly, the new oil level sensor is made completely out of plastic, as opposed to the original whose base was metal. Machinist lost my harmonic balancer bolt, so that was 25 bucks =(

Finally, picked up a new front ebrake cable because my old one snapped long ago. When I was fiddling with the old one, I noticed the line was greased up. Should I grease this cord before I put it in? I also had a hell of a time trying to get the old one out. The little prongs are hard to manuever under the car.

Update:

Been a busy month, but I did a few things. I replaced the snapped ebrake cable which was a pain in the butt! New tranny mount. Here is a pic of the new vs old:

I pressure washed the engine bay, but didnt take before and after pics like I should of.

I cleaned up the clutch and fly wheel and they didnt look like they were in good shape at all:

I think this was a McLeod, but its been so long I can't even remember.

The pressure plate had definitely seen better days.

Went to the trusty machine shop and had the flywheel turned. Hoping it is still thick enough to function properly. I can't remember if it has been resurfaced before, but I guess we will find out!

Spiffy new Spec stage 2 clutch, should be enough for my power level:

The pressure plate looking smooth and ready to go!

If all goes well I should bolt these up tomorrow and start dropping the motor back in the car. Wish me luck!

Looks like your moving right along. Glad to see someone still has love for the LT1's.

Where did you purchase the new E-brake cables from ?

If the washers for the steam pipes don't hold up you can use large oil drainplug washers too. They are usually a soft nylon.

The car looks good. Great job on the tear down and post a video of it running once everything is complete.

Ok thanks, I think I remember an item in my bag of goodies that may be the correct washer. I originally thought it was the pilot bearing but it turns out it was not and I had it labeled as " ??? "

Do you remember if it is kinda thick or maybe there is a picture of it somewhere?

Two of my intake manifold bolts bent while the motor was on the cherry picker. Dissapointing, but what can you do. Ordered a new set from ebay, hopefully, they won't be **** quality.

Got some more goodies in the mail:

Got back the thermostat housing and assembled the electric pump:

I was worried about the seals on the electric pump to the old housing. There is an O ring in there but no gasket. Is there supposed to be one? I used some RTV, but the last thing I want is my brand new opti getting dripped on. Also is there a thermostat housing gasket? My local parts store says they don't use them, but that doesn't sound right at all.
